“The most cultivated in the world”
For more than twenty years, the area of Terralbese has been known as one of the most important areas in Sardinia for the cultivation of mushrooms, both in terms of quality and quantity. The mushrooms of the Agricola Campidanese PO are produced entirely in Sardinia in southern Oristano, using only advanced techniques. The cultivation takes place in modern and functional greenhouses which recreate the ideal conditions of temperature and humidity for mushrooms and the harvesting is always carried out when the sporocarps have reached the ideal ripeness. The various processing phases contribute to the high quality of our mushrooms, carefully selected and packaged by highly skilled personnel. The labelling and control phases of the finished product guarantee accurate traceability and high reliability.
Known as the King Trumpet, it is characterized by a thick, meaty flesh, a sweet and pleasant taste and its typical smell of bread dough.
HEALTH BENEFITS
Ideal for preparing risottos and for accompanying carpaccio, this mushroom is a real delicacy. It has the great advantage of being a low-calorie food, highly recommended for low-fat diets. However, though it is mistakenly considered poor in nutrients, thanks to its content of selenium and vitamin B, it contributes to the proper functioning of the nervous system and to the proper oxygenation of the blood.
