The Cuore di Bue is one of the best known and appreciated tomato varieties for its great taste as well as for its characteristic appearance. It has the shape of a pear and is slightly ribbed; it is characterized by having few seeds and by the meaty floury pulp which makes it particularly suitable for salads. After ripening, it gets its characteristic light green colour with a pinkish tip.


Rich in vitamin C and carotene, it is also suitable for weight-loss diets as it is low in calories.
