“A greatly satisfying delicacy”
The aubergine is a vegetable in the Solanaceae family which is traditionally cultivated in Campidano di Oristano in Sardinia where there is a particularly mild climate and good sun exposure.
HEALTH BENEFITS
Often underestimated, the aubergine is a vegetable which has many health benefits for our organism. One of its most important properties is the ability to fight water retention and to promote the increase of bile production, stimulating liver cells and at the same time facilitating digestion.
This characteristic helps to improve liver function and reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood. It also has a good diuretic effect as it contains about 93% water. Some recent studies have also highlighted the usefulness of the aubergine in reducing blood pressure with an effect quite similar to that of antihypertensives.
